David L. Brown, DDS
A native of Fort Worth, TX, Dr. Brown has served the Bedford community since 1980. He earned his undergraduate degree at Trinity University in San Antonio, and went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1979. Dr. Brown is dedicated to lifelong learning, and has participated in several continuing education courses in order to provide his patients with the best quality and variety of care. Among his numerous advanced education courses, Dr. Brown completed the prestigious preceptorship in dental implantology from The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, qualifying him to plan and perform dental implant restoration. Dr. Brown maintains his knowledge of implantology and other restorative methods as well as cosmetic dentistry by attending regular training to fully understand new techniques and technologies. He has participated in advanced education on digital imaging, dental lasers, teeth whitening, and crowns.Dr. Brown loves helping patients restore their smiles, and has committed himself to understanding and developing the best tooth replacement and restoration options available.
Well respected by his peers in the dental field, Dr. Brown maintains memberships with the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the Fort Worth District Dental Society, and the nationally esteemed, invitation only Seattle Study Club.
An enthusiastic researcher, Dr. Brown has played an integral part in developing new dental tools and procedures. He has been a member of the clinical team developing the Dental Symphony software for dental practices, and has written scholarly articles on implant radiography and surgical guides. Additionally, Dr. Brown proudly offers patients his very own proprietary, 3D guided implant technique for All-on-4 dental implant placement.
Married to his wife Sharon since 1977, Dr. Brown is most proud of and devoted to his family. He has three grown daughters, two great sons-in-law, and one granddaughter. It’s obvious that girls run in his family, and that makes him a lucky guy!

Maegan Elam, DDS
Dr. Elam is a Southlake, TX native whose passion for easing dental anxiety paired with her gentle manner have made her a valued member of our Bedford dental practice. Dr. Elam earned a BS in Biochemistry from Hardin-Simmons University, and in 2012, she received a Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. During her doctoral studies, Dr. Elam received the Award in Clinical Excellence for the superior care and service she provided. Dr. Elam continues to share that top-tier level of dental care with our patients.
As a burgeoning dental practitioner, Dr. Elam has already garnered the respect and admiration of her peers. She participates regularly as a member of the American Dental Association, the State of Texas Dental Association, and the Fort Worth District Dental Society. Dr. Elam’s passion is ensuring that every patient has a peaceful dental experience, and she has completed advanced training to offer patients oral conscious and nitrous oxide sedation. She is dedicated to meeting each patient’s specific needs, and always looks forward to partnering with our patients to develop an oral health care plan that will give them a healthy, beautiful smile for life.
Outside of the office Dr. Elam and her husband, Jordan, spend most of their time chasing their son and spending time with their newborn daughter and love every minute of it. The pair met while attending Hardin-Simmons University together and they share a love for traveling (although it is much harder with a toddler!) and devotion to family. They are active in their church and enjoy serving however they can.
Maria, Registered Dental Assistant
Maria has 14 years of experience in the dental field. As a registered dental assistant, her patients appreciate her pleasant demeanor and the extra effort she puts forth to ensure their comfort. Outside of the office, Maria loves spending time with her friends and family, camping and other outdoor adventures, and being a supportive soccer mom for her 3 boys.
Dawnelle, Registered Dental Assistant
For nearly 20 years, Dawnelle has helped our patients feel great about their smiles. She loves making patients comfortable, and our patients appreciate her gentle, reassuring manner. Outside the office Dawnelle spends time with family and her cats. She loves getting her hands dirty in the garden, and spending time sewing.
Rachel, Registered Dental Hygienist
Since 2011, Rachel has shared her skilled hands, kind smile, and abundant knowledge with our practice. She loves getting to know her patients, and especially having the opportunity to reveal their most brilliant smile with thorough dental cleanings. Outside the office, you’ll find Rachel spending quality time with her husband and young son, or when she needs an escape, you may see her out for a run.
Marci, Registered Dental Hygienist
A graduate of the Baylor College of Dentistry, Marci holds a BS in dental hygiene. Our patients enjoy Marci’s fun loving nature, and they always feel comfortable working with her to create beautiful smiles they’re proud to share. Passionate about patient education, ask Marci about great at-home hygiene next time you visit us. Outside the office, Marci spends time watching her son play baseball, working out with her daughters, and staying active in a variety of church ministries.
Rebecca, Registered Dental Hygienist
Rebecca studied at Texas Woman’s University and graduated with her Bachelor’s of Science with a major in Dental Hygiene. She has a passion for sharing her knowledge along with giving great oral hygiene advice with a patient centered focus. She strives to develop personal relationships with each of her patients in order to make a positive influence on their oral health. She greets everyone she sees with her warm and bubbly personality. In Rebecca’s free time, she enjoys cooking new and flavorful recipes with her husband, Jeremy. Her idea of a perfect weekend is spent with family, catching up on different television shows or movies, or dreaming of her next travel destination.
Nancy, Insurance Coordinator
We’re proud to welcome our newest team member, Nancy, who brings more than 40 years of dental experience to our practice. Actually, Nancy’s love of dentistry stems from even further back. Her great grandfather was a dentist on horseback in Texas during the early 1900s, and she also had an uncle who was a dentist. You could say dentistry is in her genes. Nancy provides an extraordinary level of service to each of our patients assisting them in getting the most from their dental experience. Nancy studied dental assisting at San Antonio College, is a national board certified dental assistant, and she completed The University of Texas at Arlington Graduate Professional Management Academy. Outside of work, Nancy is happily married. She and her husband have 1 son and 2 grandchildren. The also love spoiling their 3 four-legged children. Nancy enjoys cooking, reading, decorating, and entertaining.
Shari, Office Manager
For the past two decades, Shari has shared her smile with our patients, and they look forward to seeing her. This outgoing lady spends her free time participating in activities with her church, watching football, and spending time with her family. Happily married, Shari devotes most spare time to her husband, and her 2 daughters.
Patsy, Hygiene Coordinator
Patsy has been working in the dental field since 1977, and she still loves every day of it. She completed the Dental Assisting program at TCC and was an assistant for 15 years before deciding to move into the administrative functions of the office. She has a passion for helping others and believes that by connecting with patients, it creates an overall better experience for them. She has two children and three grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys being active in her church, spending time with her family, watching football, traveling, and gardening. In fact, she used to be called “the Gardener Lady” on her street!
